Massey Vets is New Zealand’s only veterinary teaching hospital. Students work alongside staff, treating a range of animals from cats and dogs to horses and livestock.
The existing roof, constructed from a lightweight aluminium profile, had leakage problems. To resolve this issue, it was disassembled down to the sarking, and substituted with a Recover Ultratherm Xtreme roof incorporating a FiberTite membrane overlay. Additionally, a pitch was introduced by implementing Tapered PIR Board, facilitating proper water drainage without necessitating structural alterations.
